With International Commencement Programme
The knowledge and skills gained in this program will prepare you for a degree programme in nursing. The programme is delivered over 30 weeks.
It aims to provide you with understanding of the basic concepts of the nursing healthcare profession.
It also develops your skills and knowledge to prepare you for successful progression onto a degree programme.
You will explore important aspects of values, ethics, research, physiology and social policy related to professional nursing. It gives a solid theoretical and practical base to the understanding and development of nursing care – a core grounding in clinical practice and education in nursing. It is a pathway for future nurses to evolve and fulfil their potential.

- Start Dates: January, June or September
- Duration: (one Academic Year) 6-12 months
- Location: Cork City Campus
- Fees: TBA
- Exams: The ICP Health Sciences is assessed by continuous assessment, end of year in-house exams and an IELTS exam.
- • Successfully completed high school examinations (equivalent of Irish Leaving Certificate)
- • Have a minimum English level of 4.5 IELTS
- Progression List: We are committed to helping and supporting students with entry to Medical, Dentistry, Nursing and Pharmacy degrees. Students will receive personalised guidance for applications, interviews, personal statements components and exams. These form an essential part of entry progression to degree level and we facilitate students in these processes.
